Asha Sadan (House of Hope)
Providing education for orphans in India
The "Daughters of charity of the most precious blood congregation" in Odisha, India, work in four of the most remote villages in the mountain area, where living conditions are extremely basic – no education, electricity, transport etc. and parents face a constant struggle to feed their children.
Asha Sadan provides refuges for 148 orphan children, as well as single parents, who are clothed, fed and educated. They have no outside funding for their work and run their orphanage on a shoestring.
